Dr. Jesse Wright is a dual-trained and dual-certified specialist in both Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry. This dual specialization required four years of advanced post-graduate education and residencies following dental school, and is exceedingly rare amongst dental practitioners. The rigorous training that he received allows him to provide holistic dental care for children from birth through adulthood, and helps him give his patients the best smiles and oral health.
Dr. Wright graduated from Princeton University for his undergraduate education. He then graduated from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry with Honors and was a member of the Tau Kappa Omega dental honor society. Dr. Wright next entered post-doctoral residency in the Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry Program at Lutheran Medical Center. Upon completion of that program, he entered his second residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at NYU Langone.
Dr. Wright is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Academy of Pediatric Dentists, American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, and Second District Dental Society. He is also recognized as a leading orthodontist in Invisalign treatment. He has played an active role in organized dentistry, serving as Vice President, Treasurer, and Parliamentarian of his dental school. Dr. Wright also served as a representative on the Council of Students, Residents, and Fellows for the American Dental Education Association. Dr. Wright has gone on dental mission trips to Jamaica, and participates frequently in volunteer oral health screenings and fairs.
Dr. Wright grew up in Panama City, Panama, and speaks English and Spanish fluently. During his free time, he enjoys exploring New York City with his wife, Milana, photography, playing basketball, biking, and cooking.
Dr. Liel Grinbaum is a Board-Certified pediatric dentist. Having received high honors in his board examinations, he considers his role as a health care clinician for children to be a genuine privilege, and believes that a customized oral health plan for each child is essential to the child’s overall well-being.
A Magna Cum Laude graduate, Dr. Grinbaum was invited into Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society at Binghamton University. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey, graduating with honors in the top 10% of his graduating class. Dr. Grinbaum then completed a general practice residency at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Hospital. His passion for working with children led Dr. Grinbaum to complete a two-year residency in Pediatric Dentistry at Maimonides Medical Center with extensive practice in adolescent sedation dentistry. He is a member of the American Association of Pediatric Dentistry, Second District Dental Society, New York State Dental Associations, Nassau County Young Dental Society, and Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity.
Dr. Grinbaum enjoys speaking at local school and pre-schools, and educating children about their oral and dental hygiene. When he is not treating patients or spending time with his family, he can be spotted on a local basketball court.
Dr. Karin Grinbaum believes smiling can make you happier and healthier. She would like to help everyone achieve a smile they are proud of.
Dr. Karin Grinbaum is a Board Certified Orthodontist. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Binghamton University and went on to complete her dental training at the University of Pennsylvania and New York University College of Dentistry on a Dean’s Merit Scholarship, graduating with high honors. She received multiple awards and honors, including the distinction of being inducted in to Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), the National Dental Honor Society. Dr. Grinbaum continued her post-graduate studies at New York University College of Dentistry where she completed her residency of 3 years in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Dr. Karin Grinbaum and her family live in Manhattan.
Dr. Elan Kaufman is a Board Certified pediatric dentist and dental surgeon, specializing in all aspects of children’s dental health. A Magna Cum Laude honors graduate from Binghamton University, he earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) in Boston, at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, also with high honors. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and associate member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. E. Kaufman served as the chief of Pediatric Dental Medicine and Surgery at St. Luke’s, and Roosevelt Hospitals in Manhattan, as well as Brooklyn’s Coney Island Hospital. Dr. Kaufman is also faculty member at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, and an alumnus of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Additionally, Dr. E. Kaufman is an inspector for the American Association for the Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, recognized as the gold standard in office-based ambulatory surgery accreditation organizations.
For over twenty years, Dr. E. Kaufman devotes his time to teaching pediatric dentistry to pediatric and general dental residents at several NYC hospitals. Dr. E. Kaufman has held many leadership positions in several local, state, and national dental organizations, and served as the Chairman of the Oral Health Committee of New York Chapter II of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Elan Kaufman and his wife, Dr. Jennifer Mait-Kaufman, a Pediatric Gastroenterologist serve as the Co-Presidents and Founders of the Children’s Dental Foundation, Inc., a non-for-profit organization aimed at providing optimal dental care to needy and less-fortunate children. They reside with their sons Harrison and Henry, and daughter Penelope, in Lower Manhattan.
